Couple of quick corrections - The actor who played Helen Shyres is named Chelan SIMMONS, not Chelan Smith, and Principal Morton did not, in fact, die in the novel. Sorry!!

No worries everyone makes mistakes
James technically cabin in the woods has the highest amount of kills
@Dead Meat I liked the we're deadmeat intro better bring it back please
Dead Meat, ARE YOU CRAZY WHEN YOU SAID "BACK TO REALITY OH THERE GOES GRAVITY" ALREADY?!
I hope you guys see this, but Chelan is pronounced SH-EH-LAN
I honestly prefer this version to the original. Like, I know it's way less polished, way less technically accomplished, but it just resonates with me more. It's a lonely hill, but I'm ready to die on it.
I think the girl who played the younger Carrie in the flashback was in Hollis Woods.
Carrie (2002) comedy works for me 11:38
I like how james loves the title cards
Round 3
14:12 I see what you did there 😏
12:05 can't take him serious either
So far all these movies just feel repeated and it's making me confused-
WAIT THIS IS THE VERSION THAT TERRIFIED ME AS A KID nice
“My ceiling just collapsed... just now” “Woah... can I see it..?” “.......no...”
Until I saw this video today I did not realize that there was more kills than minutes
Miss Desjardins survives in the book too.
This film looks like it was recorded on a phone lol
"Religion should be like dogs playing poker" Hi, yes, Sue, what the FUCK does that mean?
Can anyone tell me who the fat kid who survived in the interview was
Tina was in the first movie but was re-named mindy and was a background character
12:06 well damn James, a bit savage aren't we 🤣🤣
Every time I see this movie I get upset she is such a nice girl. Why do this to her
Lol Catherine Isabelle is wearing a hat in this move as well first freddy vs jason and now this i guess she loves hats in horror movies
Emilie was in Once upon a time
The camera quality makes it look like a school project
The principal forgetting a students name wouldnt be something to b angry about i mean why would he learn all the students name and the meeting is super awkward for a guy its kinda funny
I love every version of Carrie, including the rage, for their own special reason. This one I love because of how it stays true to the novel and even though the effects are cartoony I still love the town destruction
never knew that 13:39
The actress who play chris also plays belle in once upon a time
All ogs know the sentence “plug it up”
That one was my fav
You should do a kill count of may I love that movie
where did they get so many tampons in the beginning????
6:05 . its jim marsch from ''high incident'' , i loved that cop show. too bad it only lasted 2 seasons
Dead Meat you but this kill count out the day after my birthday.
That plate smash as Tommy is getting her for prom is such a great little gag
When can we get a ranking of top 10 highest kill counts
I was holding my laughter as the aurora borealis scene came up but when you said it I couldn't stop myself from cracking up.
That’s the thing about whenever bullying is portrayed like this, it just seems unbelievable. Even if these girls really don’t like Carrie, is her being doused with pig’s blood THAT goddamn funny? Fictional bullies are all just one dimensional idiots who laugh at anything.
Me: where did u get that dress? Carrie: oh I made it Me: shut UP! Carrie: wha? You shut up! Me: -_- kill me already
Why do the kids look 30 in this movie.
Now that I think about it. The fact the cops are interviewing the surving characters, and the story is an emotional drama turn murder/highschool genocide, makes me think, this is Carrie meets Cold Case.
Obviously, the worst remake of Carrie.
@Ryder maddenes toys vlogs and more enjoy Seriously, this remake make Carrie more like a freak than a victim.
but probibly most book acurate
Why is nobody talking about how beautiful the gym coach is? (Idk how to spell her name, and don't want to butcher it)
I'm not in high school yet but I think Carrie is cuter than the bully
This kill count remind me of night mare on elm street because none of the kills happen until a huge group of kids
Why does this Carrie remind me of Juliette Lewis?
Y’all if the prom queen at my school was all of a sudden covered in blood from what I didn’t know was a prank I’d be majorly concerned and scared, not laughing.
Bro every single actress who portrayed Carrie was amazing but Chloe Grace Moretz in the role what
Black prom. I like red prom.
📉📈 📈📉
Im guess I’m a bigger fan of Hit Girl is why I did enjoy the 2013 remake. I couldn’t get into this as much. Billy was definitely not as memorable as Johnny. Also, I just couldn’t stand the camera style.
so this movie carrie 2002 was impossible to watch it didnt let me watch it untill i found an app
3:41 when you go to a city girls concert
_May_ (2002) is such an underrated gem. I don't even remember this version of Carrie, but based on the fact it stars Katherine Isabel _(Ginger Snaps, American Mary)_ *&* Angela Bettis from _May_ should make for an amazing protaganist vs antagonist on-screen performances... Too bad they had to team up for this piece of garbage, because these 2 are horror *icons* imo. Either way, these 2 actresses have a special place in my heart from being severely underappreciated 2000s scream-queens.
Me: 👁👄👁 Who ever dis guy is: **Using Telekinesis** Me: **xD**
PUT THE PIG IN THE KILLCOUNT
Imagine going to prom
For Carrie you need a skinnier chick that’s not the most attractive but still pretty, in my opinion
James: I’m James a janisse Captions: I’m James Agee nice
I love the 1976 Carrie better
The way you described the series makes it sound like Stranger Things S1 😂
"its...fAR...FROM OVER...ITS NOTEVENINTHESAME A R E A C O D E AS O V ER !!!!!"
Carrie is a duology with 4 movies
The visual affects in this movie were horror-ble! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Get it... you get it. Also the visual effects in this movie looks like it was done by a couple of youtubers
Angela Betiss was good, but everything else about this version is pretty bad. The cinematography, editing choices and VFX aged horribly, especially compared to De Palma's stylish direction.
Carrie? Oh that means fire.
This is awfully similar to election 2020.. when Biden has that bucket of blood dropping on his head.
Dang, this movie should be remade.
I think the creepiest part of Margaret's death- which isn't shown in this version in its entirety- is that the entire time Carrie is slowing her heart, she's telling her mother what she's doing. "Slower Mama, slower. Stop."
May that title card rest in peace. It didn't deserve to get hit by that meteor.
INCREASE carbon dioxide!? is my guy serious 😭😭
"THE INTERNET!"
i think this movie is the best remake
The actor of carrie made me so sad seeing her happy because you knew what was gonna happen
8:28 yah sure that isn’t Winona rider lol
Man, I really wish Jawbreaker was a horror movie, even with there only being the one death in it; I'd love to hear James' comments about the different characters. Also, did he ever do Heathers (the movie with Christian Slater)? That one had quite a few deaths for a non-horror movie.
Everyone is talking about how this is low budget but I think this is actually good especially how Mrs.Collins survived and the town destruction even Carrie survived
This version was very loyal to the book but had a twist at the end.
A teacher saying photosynthesis releases CO2 to help people is like saying stabbing someone in the heart or slicing the neck heals people.
I’d want to make a movie of this but make it really different from all of these
13:45 Speeeaaaaaaking of which.....
Katherine Isabelle is a Canadian horror legend
besides the pigs blood this has to be the most PG 200+ kills i've ever seen.
Dead meat the movie where a man is found with a note that isn't revealed until the end of the movie where it's shows a conspiracy about a group of shady characters give people a number and they must hit the count. The kill count
Kill count record
Emilie de Ravin had to learn how to produce an American accent for the film as she is a native Australian. The only adaptation of Carrie not to be rated R as this version is TV-14 which is equivalent to PG-13. The only adaptation of Carrie where Margaret never mentions Carrie's father and what he did to Margaret. At 2 hours and 12 minutes, this is the longest adaptation of Carrie. Compared to other versions where the blood is dumped onto Carrie before she has any idea what's happening, Carrie looks up and sees the bucket as it's being overturned after noticing drops of blood dripping onto her.
The actress that plays Carrie is normal pretty. The bad girls are models. In real life Carrie would have no problem having friends or a boyfriend.
I know high school film projects that have better quality than this
man you really could’ve taken the other 2 carrie reviews and put it over this one and there would be like no change
Did Carrie have dark hair in the novel before the Brain De Palmer movie came out? Is that where this TV movie got the idea of redoing the adaption from?
Y u no include title card in the kill count?
This looks like absolute shit
The cinematography, visual effects, maybe even some of the acting and writing are bad, but I got to give credit to Angela Bettie who played Carrie giving her a unique portrayal and vulnerability. You see her face you can’t help but want to help her.
If i was at prom and it would be voting time, i would vote for myself too beacause it's the easiest decsision that i can think of.
This just looks too much like the first three seasons of the new doctor who
If only this carrie had been in the new one. She was actually very effective at evoking a reaction from me. She felt naturally very awkward and outlandish. I really believed her personality.
Now that I'm reading the book I now notice some smaller things I normally wouldn't notice
Does anyone else think it was a bit disrespectful of james to not put the title card in the kill count.
15:50: Actually, according to the blu-ray commentary, the only CGI flames used were for the shot when the sprinklers/pipes catch fire.
I never really got the bullying thing, i never seen it anywhere when i was in high school and that was 6 or 7 years ago. Actually any would be bullies usually got scolded and just generally looked down upon. I dont know if i was in just a really good public school or what, but i never got the whole bullying thing. Ive never been bullied and never saw anyone else go through it.
I dislike this portrayal. Idk why, but the original is just the best imo even though it isn't as true to the book
I am so mad at Carrie's mother. She genuinely cared for Carrie, in her weird, overly forceful ways and at the end, she probably had her best chance to help Carrie, be a good Christian and a good mother by comforting her child and stuff. NAH, F*** that, time to drown her.
