  • Watched Crimson Peak last night and I'd like to thank you guys for reviewing it. Really loved it, especially those last 20 minutes were just brutal! The main antagonist is terrifying in a way I just didn't expect throughout the rest of the movie. That's what I love about Guillermo Del Toro's films, the majority of them, excluding the Hellboy films and Pacific Rim, feel like original fairy tales. Not like the sanitized Disney fairy tales, but actual fairy tales, where things can go from pleasantly peaceful and wonderous to brutal and disgusting in just a few moments. It's great. Still gotta watch 12 Hour Shift, but judging by the fact that Angela Bettis is the lead, I have no doubt it will be good.

  • Wow, everything y’all said about Antebellum I felt the exact opposite. The performances were so good and I thought the pacing was great. I think Veronica Henley is one of my favorite modern final girls ever, I wanted the movie to keep going so we could see her reunite with her friends and family and take down the elites, who ever they were. I get the exhaustion of slavery being the staple theme in black stories and voices, which I wholeheartedly agree with, which is why I love the second act so much, but with this movie i felt it lent more to the story and horror aspects, less about the characters.

I'm glad Jenifer's Body is getting the attention it should have received from the start if that advertising had have been so poorly handled. Apostle was a ride to watch, I had been watching a LOT of horror movies and had really low expectations at times I felt how slow it was but by the end I was just like what just happened and did I like it. Over the next few days I decided I liked it.

My 4 heart surgeries and Carotid Artery aneurysm surgery trump all my other ones. I’m only 39 and I’ve had 13 surgeries of varying types.

I think what they were going for is tlshew attractive and has her head on straight, and Jennifer thinks she's ugly, because she's more normal.
