MUSIC!! "U Make Me Feel" by MK2

  • There’s an interview where Elijah Wood who’s just become a horror kingpin is GUSHING about Willow’s Song and it makes me stoked. I know you two prolly hate it but Cannibal Holocaust and The Wicker Man are inseparable to me for their weird vibe, great music, and totally 70’s approach to horror.

  • Been a while since I dropped in on this channel. Love that you've covered Wicker Man. The UK has a great lineage of horror films, I would love to see you guys cover more of it. Hammer, Amicus and Tigon produced some great films throughout the 50s, 60s and 70s. Dracula AD 1972 is worth watching for the hilarious camp value alone

  • I own the soundtrack to the film and until I saw the Final Cut, I didn't understand where "Gently Johnny" fit in. Love the soundtrack and score. Great film! I had no idea that it was one the same billing with "Don't Look Now." Have you covered or will you cover that one sometime? It's not as good as "The Wicker Man" but it's a solid flick.

  • I still don't get their perspective on Catholicism. The whole, "bread literally becomes Christ's body" thing is only for kids until they can understand the actual symbolism. After that it is made clear that no, it very much isn't "literally" His body, it's just a symbol for Jesus' sacrifice much like it was during the Last Supper. The whole "this is my body" thing was never meant to be a literal physical transformation, merely a spiritual and symbolic one. Idk, maybe my church was just full of oddballs...

  • Kill-dos for your podcast of this classic horror movie. If you're into heavy metal music, listen to "The Wicker Man" by Iron Maiden from their album Brave New World (2000), which is based off of this movie. I'm surprised a lot of horror fans think if the remake of The Wicker Man instead of the original, because to make a remake of a movie you have to know the original exists. That's one reason I'm not a fan of some of them. Of course I'm a little like them because, went I bought the Ocean's 11 Four Film Collection DVD, I didn't realize that the popular 2001 film with George Clooney WAS a remake of the 1960 movie starring Frank Sinatra (which was included in the DVD collection. Oh, off topic: the Bond movie with the underwater battle was the 1965 (my birth year) "Thunderball" starring Sir Sean Connery. Just wanted to let you in the know. Great movie and one of my favorite Bond movies. Back on topic: Was that a Halloween version of the Creature from the Black Lagoon or Merman from the Masters of the Universe on the wall behind you? I do like the new look of the Deadmeat Podcast set. Keep up the great work you do for us ISworlds viewers/subscribers, like me, on your awesome channel!!!

  • So, I rented this movie on Amazon Prime Video after watching this, I thought it said you kept it for 30 days. That is not true, you have teo days to watch it once you've started it. I ran into problems because for the first day, it kept going to no sound, pausing by itself(had to keep pressing play) and then would buffer nonstop. So, in order to watch the entirety of the film I had to keep starting over and finding my place so I could get sound. I've had no issues with other movies or rentals. How strange!! It was an excellent film once I got through it. I'd be interested in bringing plants to the island and breeding them. Willing to be sacrificed after ten years. Also, would be great to just join their cult. XD *Slaps thighs and then bounces naked body against wall* SEE? I CAN BE LIKE THEM!!! Edit: 'two' not 'teo'.

    • So, the day after writing this I got an Email letting me know they had refunded my rental purchase because of bad viewing experience. • Man, whenever I hear Christopher Lee's voice I think of The Last Unicorn. He voices King Haggard and it's a haunting performance. I loved that movie as a kid and only learned later that he voiced himself in the German dub (which I grew up on) since he was fluent in German. I'll finish the podcast later, I gotta find out if The Last Unicorn is streaming somewhere.

  • diegetic and non-diegetic are the 2 words James and Chelsea were struggling with. diegetic sounds are sourced within the world in the film (spoken dialogue, folly, ext) so for example, when everyone is singing The Landlord's Daughter, and someone is drumming on the bar or stomping their feet or playing a concertina (mini accordion) that's all diegetic sounds. non-diegetic sounds are sourced outside the world in the film. for example, the Corn Rig song bopping away instead of hearing a plane engine roaring. good scrabble word.

Was Ekland that big of a star? Is there something I'm missing?
